Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Kindergarten at School 8!  I am so excited to have your child in my class this year.  My name is Tracy Buckley and I will be your child’s teacher this year.  This is a very exciting time for your child and for me as well.  My goal as a teacher is to have each student in my class reach his/her full potential as learners.  I will encourage them to try his/her hardest with every subject.

Home is where the learning begins.  You are a very important part of your child’s education.  Encourage your child to talk about his/her school experiences.  Listen carefully, not only to the words but also watch the gestures and emotions they use while speaking to you.  Help your child understand that most problems have solutions and let them know you are always there to help them in any way that you can, just as I will.

As a parent myself, I understand the importance of positive parent-teacher communication.  Please feel free to send me a note or call the school if you need to discuss any issues concerning your child. You can also email me.  I will get back to you as soon as possible.
